Working together

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step – especially if you’ve never had counselling or coaching before, or if you’ve had a difficult experience in the past.

My aim is to offer a space that feels calm, supportive, and human, where we can begin gently and without pressure.

What our sessions are like

Our work together is collaborative, thoughtful, and at your pace.

Often it begins not with big answers, but with small moments of clarity, and a sense of new beginning – a feeling that things don’t have to stay as they are.

Some sessions may involve exploring what’s been happening in your life or what feels difficult right now. Others may focus more on practical tools, coping strategies, or ways to feel more grounded day to day.

Life rarely moves in a straight line. Sometimes, our work is about exploring the different paths in front of you, and finding a way forward that feels more open, balanced, and true to who you are.

There is no “right” way to do this…

I don’t ask you to decide whether you need counselling, coaching, mindfulness, or something else.

Instead, I offer a blended approach that draws on all of my training and experience, shaped around your individual needs.

Together, we make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward that feels supportive, manageable, and meaningful.

Many people find it helpful to begin with six sessions as a starting point. This gives us time to build trust and continuity, and begin making sense of what’s been going on for you.

I often suggest starting with weekly sessions, and then moving to fortnightly, allowing time in between to reflect, process, and start to put supportive changes into place.

Of course, we will always shape the pace around what feels right and manageable for you.

Some people come for a short period of support, while others choose to work together longer-term.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step – emotionally, practically, and financially.

It’s completely natural to pause when considering the cost. For many people, this work is an investment in themselves, creating the foundations for greater clarity, calm, confidence, and lasting change.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute call as a gentle first step. We can talk things through, and there is no pressure to commit before you feel ready.
